Avesh Khan likely to be ruled out of England series

The Madhya Pradesh bowler has notably suffered a fracture in the left thumb. Khan sustained this injury during the opening day of the warm-up match between India and the County XI at the Chester-le-Street in Durham on Tuesday.Khan was playing for the County XI after players were left out owing to mandatory isolation after positive COVID-19 results. Khan suffered this injury soon after lunch on Tuesday, intercepting Hanuma Vihari?s punch drive. Although, he was taken for scans and continues to remain under observation after being ruled out of the entire warm-up match.
