According to the National Centre for Biotechnology Information, approximately 15-20 million endoscopies are performed every year in the United States and about 2 million in France. Among endoscopes, colonoscopes and duodenoscopes are commonly used since there has been an incidence rate of colorectal cancer and GI diseases.
