Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), also known as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD) is a condition in which a child or adolescent exhibits constant difficulty in controlling their motor activities, excessive restlessness, and inattentiveness. Hyperactivity is described as being unable to sustain attention or to stay with one task until it is completed. Hyperactivity is most often diagnosed in children. Common symptoms include frequent fidgeting, difficulty sitting or walking upright, being unable to concentrate, and bouncing from one activity to another.
