In asset tokenization, real world, physical assets are designated tokens which are used to indicate ownership. Asset tokenization enables fractional ownership of properties, opening up investment opportunities to investors who may not have had access to the asset otherwise. The tokens are distributed through STOs (Security Token Offerings), they are also called Tokenized Asset Offerings, or Asset Tokenized Offerings.
