The tournament will be played between August - September 2022 and will begin on 27 August. The Asia Cup was set to be hosted by Sri Lanka but citing the current socio-economic state of the Island nthe Asian Cricket Council decided to move the tournament to the United Arab Emirates. The 2022 Asia Cup comprises of six teams out of which five are confirmed in Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. The last spot will be open for One team from Hong Kong, Kuwait, Singapore and UAE.
