When your body detects morning sunlight, an instinctive signal is delivered to your brain informing it that it is time to get up. Working a night shift forces your body to perform outside of its normal circadian cycle. Although no one?s circadian rhythm is ever perfectly tuned to their hours, working a late shift may make you feel more exhausted as a result.
