Om Shanti Om is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language masala movie written and directed by Farah Khan, co-written by Mayur Puri and Mushtaq Shiekh, and staged by Gauri Khan under the flag of Red Chillies Entertainment. The movie was theatrically released in India on 9 November 2007 during Diwali weekend, Om Shanti Om made over ?149 crores worldwide becoming the ultimate-grossing Bollywood movie of the year. The soundtrack album was composed by Vishal?Shekhar, with lyrics written by Javed Akhtar. Sandeep Chowta performed the background score. The album song ?Ankho Me Teri Ajab Si? was very successful commercially, becoming the highest-selling album of the year in India.
