In the era of digitalization, many institutions use software applications. Animal shelters are no exception. Shelters now tend to launch their own websites, where they post animal profiles and search for owners for them. Such profiles contain all the necessary information about the animal, its biography, and photos. This case study describes the development of such animal care software for a network of shelters in Germany.
