An insight into Intrauterine insemination (IUI)

Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a procedure that involves the direct placement of healthy sperm into the uterus. It does not place the sperm directly inside the egg, unlike In vitro fertilization (IVF), which involves removing the egg outside the uterus where fertilization is done externally. At the Best IUI Centre in Faridabad, the sperm are inserted around the time an ovary releases one or more eggs. The hoped-for outcome is for the sperm and egg to unite in the fallopian tube, which connects the uterus to the ovaries. If this happens, it would lead to pregnancy.
