Ami Shafrir, a successful internet entrepreneur, began using the Internet in 1994 when he founded WorldSite networks Inc. From 1994 to 2000, Ami Shafrir was the owner of the 50,000-square-foot Beverly Hills structure in the 8670 block of Wilshire Boulevard. It had a high-speed fiber connection directly to the Internet at the time, making it the first structure in the neighborhood. In 1994, Ami started his own company, WorldSite, which offered website programming, online payment processing, and web hosting services. WorldSite served as the host for the websites of all the major Hollywood studios, including Paramount and Warner Bros., as well as some of the most well-known Hollywood films of the era, like Independence Day.
