All Eyes on Captain Shubman Gill for Indian Test Cricket

India is now in a new era for Test cricket. At just 25, Shubman Gill is set to lead India in the upcoming Test series against England. Gill was announced as the new Test captain just a few weeks after Rohit Sharma retired, making him the youngest in India since Kapil Dev and Sachin Tendulkar. He has taken a major step with this promotion. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, R. Ashwin and Mohammed Shami are not part of India’s squad. The squad is now captained by a player who started playing cricket in Punjab and has often been regarded as the next great Indian batter.
