India's Bharti Airtel operations in East African shrugged off the effects of coronavirus pandemic to record a 15% surge in revenue to US$1.38bn citing increased demand for voice, internet and mobile money services. The total data usage on the network grew by 70.7%, led by the 39.3% increase in data usage per customer per month to 2.7 GB per customer compared with 1.9 GB in the prior year.
