Goa is not only famous for water sports and Beaches but also for historical forts like Aguada Forts. This is an important attraction in Goa; many other places do not get much attention - Fort Aguada is also one of them. The Portuguese built this fortress in the 7th century near Sankarim Beach in Goa (near the Taj Hotel). Aguada is a Portuguese word meaning a watering place.
