Post Operative Instructions For Extractions Day of surgery > Keep cotton in the mouth for 45 min by maintaining a firm pressure > Remove the cotton placed with washed hands >Apply ice on cheek at regular intervals (20 min every hour) >Limit your physical efforts and don?t forget to rest >Do not eat anything until the bleeding has stopped >Avoid drinking through a straw >Do not rinse your mouth or spit for next 24 hours >Avoid smoking or drinking alcohol for 7days >Avoid brushing your teeth near the extraction site for the first 72 hours
