In a meta-analysis of acupuncture for the treatment of insomnia, researchers found that acupuncture was effectively able to increase sleep duration and may have a beneficial effect on insomnia. Acupuncture was more effective at improving insomnia when combined with medication and herbs, so it can be a good choice as a supplemental treatment for insomnia.
