Anxiety is circumstantial and has temporary effects on the body. It causes psychological symptoms like fear and physical changes like increased heart rate. These symptoms/changes are not harmful to the body. It is a natural process of our body during tense and life-threatening situations. During such circumstances body prepares for fight-or-flight. These symptoms occur to prepare the body for such situations. One can experience symptoms such as an increase in heart rate, excessive sweating, and trembling. Everyone experiences anxiety at a certain point in their lifetime. All these changes are temporary and the body returns to normal after the situation passes. A few examples of anxiety are tension or anxiousness before exams/job interviews, stage performance, and high-speed driving.
