Kailash Vijayvargiya, born on May 13, 1956, in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, is a prominent Indian politician with a rich history of public service and political achievements. He began his political journey in 1975 with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). He became a corporator of the Indore Municipal Corporation in 1983 and later served as the first directly-elected Mayor of Indore in 2000. As a six-time legislator in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, he held various significant roles, including Cabinet Minister for Public Works, Parliamentary Affairs, Urban Administration, and Development. Appointed National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2015, he played a crucial role in the party's election campaigns.
