Since the boat was fairly large, the few persons on board were thinly distributed along the rails, and there was a superstructure in the center which was irregularly shaped, and it shielded some parts of the deck from others. There were benches along the superstructure but none along the rails, so that passengers could stand there and enjoy the view.
