One of the softer aerobic therapy products, soda blasting, needs a score of 2.4 on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness (1-10). Since most abrasive blasting cabinet systems are designed to maximize abrasive recovery while minimizing the use of dust collectors, most abrasives, including plastic and glass beads, are used more often. The exception is mobile sandblasting, an abrasive application where it is not appropriate to use abrasive for particular purposes.
