Arenal Volcano is a prominent active volcano located at North-Western Cost Rica. Arenal is a massive strato-volcano that is built upon huge layers of ash, lava, and rocks. Owing to the convergence of continental and oceanic tectonic plates, magma ascent through the volcanic chamber of Arenal and eventually erupts.
