Ladder frame belongs to 1940�s technology. They are simple to build and durable also. The term �ladder frame� in chassis basically describes two side pieces (rails like train tracks) and then interconnected with frame pieces. The finished frame ultimately looks like a ladder and gives a stronger base to vehicles. Presently, only full size trucks used such frames as they are stronger for towing, payload and hauling purpose.
