BMT (Bone Marrow Transplantation) is a specialised treatment for individuals with disorders such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and multiple myeloma. Typically, hematologic stem cells are extracted from bone marrow. They are extracted and classified as either autologous or allogenic. Autologous cells are implanted in the sick area and fight the disease, whereas allogeneic cells are harvested from bone marrow and used in transplants.
