The continual high pressures that the 6.0l diesel hpop experiences and the constant vibration of the running engine cause it to break and allow the two parts of the STC fitting to separate. When this happens, the high-pressure oil might flow off into the crankcase, bypassing the injectors and resulting in a crank-no-start problem.
