5 steps to change hydraulic oil in material handling equipment

Place the drain pan beneath the hydraulic reservoir to catch the old oil. Locate the drain plug at the bottom of the reservoir and use a wrench or socket set to loosen it. Allow the old oil to drain completely into the pan. If there is a hydraulic filter, it may also need to be replaced at this stage.
