A second autopsy is an autopsy that is performed after another party has conducted the first autopsy. We perform a second autopsy for families who are seeking answers after a preliminary examination failed to deliver. If an initial autopsy was performed by a Medical Examiner, Coroner, or Hospital Physician but questions remain before burial or cremation, a full and complete autopsy can still be performed with the remaining pathology.
