St George Mining’s Araxá Project in Brazil is emerging as a critical rare earths and niobium asset, offering strong potential to strengthen global supply chains amid increasing demand and market uncertainty. On 4 April 2025, China’s Ministry of Commerce announced new export controls on several rare earth elements and magnets. These include samarium, gadolinium, terbium, dysprosium, lutetium and yttrium.
