Disability Empowerment: Towards an Inclusive and Equitable Society

Empowerment of persons with disabilities is a prerequisite to society's promotion of inclusion and equity. Nothing should stand in the way of the realisation of dreams, opportunities, and rights by persons with disabilities. Disability empowerment means the removal of the physical, social, and economic barriers around such people so that they can lead their lives with dignity, respect, and independence.
