These activities are intended to build on the recognition of Alternative Fuel Corridors in practically every state during the program's first six years. These corridors will form the backbone of the future electric car charging network in the United States. Additionally, the Joint Office will play a crucial role in implementing the NEVI Formula Program by providing direct technical help and support to states as they develop their plans prior to submitting them to the Federal Highway Administration, which administers the funds.
