In 1946, TOTE® Systems invented the first bulk container—and an entire industry was born. What started as a simple plywood bin to handle flour in Seattle, Washington evolved into the global standard for Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) technology. Today, all IBC producers are descendants of that original TOTE® design, and the worldwide standards for size and configuration were established by our engineering.
