About Henson Architecture

We are a New York-based full-service architecture firm with over ten years of experience in repairing, preserving, and restoring buildings. Founded in 2003, our firm has completed thousands of preservation projects in the Eastern United States, particularly the tri-state region. Our approach embodies a sensitivity to the history of existing structures while considering present-day needs. We aim to ensure that these historic buildings remain an active and functional part of our urban fabric, while ensuring compliance and optimal operations with an eye to the future. Believing that architecture is a collaborative effort, we are creative problem-solvers responsive to the needs of our clients. We work with our clients to develop solutions tailored to their unique project conditions and objectives. No two projects are alike, though we use lessons learned from earlier experiences and apply creative initiatives along with time-tested strategies across the spectrum of Historic Preservation, Adaptive Reuse, and Sustainable Design of new buildings.
