Ferres Systems is a security-led IT and cloud managed services practice working across Melbourne, Geelong and regional Victoria. Most small and medium businesses sit in an awkward spot. They're big enough to be a real target and to hold data that matters, patient records, NDIS participant notes, client financials, but not big enough to justify an internal security team. The usual answer is a generalist IT provider who's good at keeping the printers going and not really set up for the security side. We're built the other way around. What we do: Security architecture and hardening across Microsoft 365, including Conditional Access, multi-factor authentication, Intune and device management. Around the clock threat detection and monitoring across endpoints and Microsoft 365 identities, with alert triage and validation so the noise never reaches you. Incident response and remediation owned by a Ferres Systems responder, including root cause analysis and assessment of whether an incident is notifiable under the Privacy Act. Patch management and managed backup, with backup data held in Australia. Monthly security posture reporting and quarterly security reviews, written in plain English rather than dashboards nobody reads.
