Electrician Jewells is the family-run, locally owned team keeping this quiet beachside suburb safely wired and up to code. We are fully insured, AS/NZS 3000 compliant and Level 2 ASP accredited under licence #451348C, offering free quotes, fixed upfront pricing and a $0 call-out fee. Our work covers general electrical, switchboard upgrades, safety switch installation, power points, LED lighting and downlights, ceiling fans, fault-finding and repairs, smoke alarm testing and house rewiring, plus EV charger installation. Our Level 2 accreditation also lets us handle service mains, metering, consumer mains upgrades and Ausgrid network connections without subcontracting. Jewells was subdivided in the 1920s but not built out until the 1970s onward, so much of the stock is later-20th-century brick-veneer, with a retirement community of brick villas off Ntaba Road. Homes from that build-out commonly need switchboard upgrades to meet today's safety-switch demands, and ceramic rewireable fuses survive in untouched 1970s boards along Jewells Parade. Original boards often predate mandatory RCDs, and renovations of the ageing brick-veneer stock regularly uncover wiring that needs replacement. Tucked between Jewells Swamp and Nine Mile Beach, this low-lying suburb carries high salt exposure and a real flood risk, with salt-laden onshore winds that are hard on coastal fittings, so reliable circuit protection is worth getting right.
